Some, any, a ,an y otros cuantificadores



SUSTANTIVOS:

Entre las diferentes clasificaciones que podemos hacer de los sutantivos podemos dividirlos en: contables e incontables .
  •        Sustantivos contables : Un sustantivo que se puede contar usando números. Sólo los sustantivos contables pueden ser plurales (más o menos de uno):
    •      "one chair" (singular)    "zero eggs" (plural)    "hundreds of people" (plural)
  •         sustantivos incontables : Un sustantivo que no se puede contar usando números.
    •      "water"     "time"      "money"
Se usa "there is" con sustantivos contables en singular y con todos los sustantivos incontables.

Se usa "there are" con sustantivos contables en plural.

Ejemplos
  •       there is: "There is an egg."    "There isn’t (is not) time."     "Is there milk?"
  •        there are: "There are zero eggs."  "There aren’t (are not) hundreds of people."  "Are there three chairs?"
